We are extremely excited to announce
that Summer Dreams will be participating
with Maccabi Canada at The Maccabi Bowlathon, which will be
held at Richmond Hill Pro Bowl, Yonge St. South of
Elgin Mills on Sunday November 16, 2003.
We are sure this day will be enjoyable as well as beneficial
for both organizations.
Maccabi Canada is a National, non-profit
volunteer organization (Charitable No: 88710 9593 RR 0001).
A major part of their mandate is to nurture Jewish identity
and cultivate a strong bond with Israel by using sport as
a medium. Through the promotion of athletic, cultural, and
educational programs, they have an ideal way of attracting
Canada’s youth.
The success of the Bowlathon will be
due to the generosity and hard work of our bowlers, donors
and corporate partners. Our Corporate Partners each contribute
a minimum of $1,000.00. They will be recognized with Lane
Sponsorships, receive special recognition in our promotional
material at The Maccabi Bowlathon, the Maccabi website (maccabicanada.com),
the Summer Dreams website (www.summerdreams.ca)
and at other Maccabi events. Donations of $180.00 are recognized
as Lane Sponsors and are invaluable. Donors who provide products
and/or services are so important for our achievements. We
require gifts for our bowler loot bags, incentive prizes,
draw prizes, awards prizes, contests and items for our prize
table.
The success of any such event, as always,
depends on friends and sponsors like yourself who generously
suport us. Please be part of this exciting event by becoming
a sponsor or by donating prizes, which can be used for a raffle
or auction.
There are great incentives prizes for
adults and children alike. For instance, if an adult has a
total of $250.00 in donations, he or she will receive an all
purpose official Maccabi travel bag. For every $100 raised,
you will be entered into a draw for a 25” coloured television
set. The person raising the most pledge money will win a $700
leather jacket.
To accomplish this, we have enclosed
a “Pledge sheet” to be filled out. Simply approach
your friends, family, neighbours, fellow bowlers, etc. and
ask them to “sponsor” you and make a donation
to Maccabi Canada. Please note that while only donations of
$18.00, or more, will qualify for a Charitable Donation receipt,
any donation, no matter how small or large, will be appreciated.
The object is to fill out our pledge sheets with as many names
as possible.
By the way if you have a friend, or
child or spouse who is willing to get donations from their
contemporaries have them complete these sheets and they also
will be eligible for these gifts of appreciation. You must
bring in their completed pledge sheets and their name to the
November tournament. Finally if you have any questions about
